Home Reach out to people

Different methods are used to reach out to the people.

Open day Each Parliamentarian may organize open days for the members of the public whereby the latter get the opportunity to tour the parliamentary building and meet with MPs. When the organization of the open day is decided, the Parliament extends invitations to the intended category of people to attend the event.
Field visits Each MP has responsibility for visiting the community to know services rendered to them, their achievements and challenges they are facing. Such visits are conducted through committees or forums or networks of MPs provided for in the Chamber’s Organic Law, or by an MP as an individual. Each MP is entitled to two (2) days per month devoted to visiting the population.
